With: Heribert Friedl and Werner Hoelzl
Description:
A silent movie which was produced for the exhibition 300895 at the
Haizingergasse. This film was an experimental movie, where the film itself
was cut, sliced and colored manually. The projection went through a mirror
which intensified the atmosphere, especially for intoxicated people....
Landscape has been lost since 1997, but Werner Hölzl recently
met Heribert Friedl, who gave him the following pictures of the exhibition
showing his great installation "pneuma".
Follow Up (1995) 7 min.
With: found footage
Description:
A silent movie which was made after Landscape. The most experimental
film of the proto-Lucidu productions. It was not possible to show the film,
because it broke whenever threaded through the projector. It was thrown
away in autumn of 1995.
With: John Norman and Angelika Unterholzner (Heribert Friedel and Werner Hoelzl technical staff)
Description:
A silent movie which tells the story of a murder in a ordinary family.
It was supposed to be the first "real" movie, but, due to unforeseen
technical problems, it, too, acquired a strange, artsy atmosphere.
This movie had really "intelligent" subtitles, but they were lost along
with the title. There is still hope that both the titles and the film can
be found. We will keep you informed about this, the most important film
of the early Lucidu years.
This film was made for the exhibition "Ausstellung" at Michl's Flat. It was the second cooperation of this kind between proto-Lucidu Productions and Heribert Friedl.
We also got some pictures from Heribert Friedl showing his installation (thanx)....
...and pictures of the film itself
Kaffee und Lenin (1996) 60 min.
With: Werner Hoelzl & Lenin´s abridged works in German.
Description:
This movie was made to bore the audience to death. It consists of a
40 minute view of the floor of a room, 10 minutes of Lenin read aloud and
10 minutes of coffee making and drinking. The first and only screening
took place at the home of Taha Nasr and was attended by eight people. Since
one person managed to watch the entire thing, the director, who considered
the film to have missed its objective, destroyed his work. And so this,
the last film of the early Lucidu Productions period, has also been lost.

The crew of nine (our largest up to then) endured icy fall weather and lukewarm pasta during the making of this film. We are ever grateful and apologize for the fact that those scenes rehearsed five times while people waited in the cold and waited for their pasta were accidentally cut from the film. A sequel is in planning.
